You may have heard about the stamp duty changes that were announced in the Autumn Statement in 2015. If you have not, stamp duty rates are set to rise by 3% on all buy-to-let purchases and second homes.

Whether you are new to property development or a seasoned professional, the deadline to purchase your next property without the increase is the 1st April 2016.

An example of just how urgent this? If you were to take on a £410,000 buy-to-let or second home, the current rate of stamp duty would equate to £10,500. However, from April, for investors and second home owners, this will increase to £22,800.
